Battery Differences

NEW for 2024, Rungu offers two battery capacities for batteries compatible with integrated battery frames (Standard and Steep from 2022 on and Rugged from 2024 on). The legacy size battery has 830 Wh capacity (compared to legacy 760) and the new, larger 1,000 Wh capacity. Both battery styles fit with the Rungu Dualie Steep/Standard frames shipped from 2022 and Rungu Dualie Rugged 2024 models.

Both batteries have built-in USB charging ports and built-in indicator lights that let you evaluate state-of-charge without turning on your Rungu Dualie.

Rungu uses a 52V system, for better power output. The 830 Wh battery provides 16Ah of capacity at that nominal voltage.  The 1000,Wh battery provides a minimum of 19.2 Wh.

We test every battery pack at our factory in Southern California.  Testing ensures that each battery ships with +5%/- 2%  Wh at a nominal 52V  by performing a complete discharge on each new battery at an average of 20 A (70% max load).

Spare Rungu batteries and chargers are warrantied for two years from the date of shipment. If you have a problem, return it; we’ll fix it or replace it with a new one.
