Rungu Height and Posture Guide

Accommodating riders from 5′ to 6’6″+

All Rungu vehicles are height adjustable.  The standard frame with standard seat/seat post accommodates riders from 5’ (152 cm) to 6’3” (190 cm).  Suspension seat posts raise the minimum seat height by 3” (8 cm).  Adding the Serfas SR-1 seat upgrade also increases minimum seat height by the same amount.  If you have a rear rack installed, it interferes with Serfas and Comfort Kit in their lowest mounting position, so the minimum rider height with either saddle upgrade is 5’5”(165 cm).

Serfas SR-1 adds 3 inches to overall height

Rungu offers options for riders up to 6’6” (198 cm) and taller.  Both the Comfort Kit and Serfas Seat add 3” to the maximum height. To accommodate longer legs, we sell the Riser Kit which we install and align at the factory to increase inseam length from 36” (91 cm) to 38” (97 cm).  So if you’re taller than 6’6″ and your inseam is less than 38″, consider a riser and saddle combination

Configure for posture

Rungu riding posture is configurable as well. Rungu riding posture is similar to a mountain bike – your body leans forward to maintain better control off-road on bumps, loose ground, etc. The Riser Kit offers an additional increase in handlebar height of up to 4”(10 cm) so you can sit more upright. We recommend the Riser Kit if you are over 6’1” (185 cm) tall.  If you are not looking to ride on difficult terrain and want to ride upright with Dutch Bicycle posture or City Bike posture, you may install custom handlebars.  Rungu or a bicycle technician can source and update your Rungu with cruiser or city bike style handle bars as replacement.
