Mesquite-Proof Tire Liner

Mesquite-Proof Tire Liners Stop Thorns

Mesquite trees proliferate in the desert southwest, northern Mexico and Texas. Their thorns can grow more than two inches in length with a girth of more than 1/8″.

The Mesquite-Proof Tire Liner is the only E-Bike tire liner to ever demonstrate the ability to stop these thorns from tire punctures and flats. Sealants cannot work alone against these thorns. In fact, neither can the Tannus ARMOUR liners Rungu® provides as an upgrade for Rungu Dualie® Steep and Standard Double-Wheel E-bikes.  But Mesquite-Proof tire liners use two layers of aluminum shielding to blunt and break thorns before they can penetrate an E-Bike tire.

Each liner is $199 + $50 shipping for the lower 48 states.  Additional charges for Alaska and Hawaii.  There is a $20 installation charge per tire for upgrades to new orders.

Description

Mesquite-Proof Tire Liners

Mesquite thorn flats are inevitable in Texas, parts of New Mexico and Arizona. Mesquite-Proof Tire Liners stop thorns and flats altogether.

Tannus ARMOUR relies on thickness to keep thorns away from a bike tire’s innertube. But what about longer thorns? (Mesquite thorns are long! 90th percentile thorns are over 2” long)

Sealants work on holes smaller than 1/8th inch. But what about thicker thorns? (Mesquite thorns are thick! 90th percentile thorns are over 1/8” wide at the base)

Mesquite-Proof uses a patent-pending metal-clad liner design blunt and break thorns before they penetrate the innertube of a bike tire.

Save yourself the walk back. It can cost over $100 to repair an e-bike tire at a bike-shop. Save yourself the hassle.

Installation

Mesquite proof tire liners are much more rigid than Tannus liners because of the metal cladding so there are installation techniques that differ depending on the tire size:

For 26″x4.8″ tires with Presta Valve Inner Tubes

For 26″x4.8″ tires with Shrader Valve Inner Tubes

For 26″x4.0″ tires with Presta Valve Inner Tubes
