Suspension Seat Post vs. Suspension Saddle

Both options smooth bumps when you take Rungu Dualie off-road. The seatpost is the better option for larger bumps and if you use pedal assist more than throttle-only riding.  The suspension saddle is the equivalent of a tractor saddle good at absorbing bumps and very comfortable when saddled for longer rides.  The team at Rungu recommends against using both at the same time.

Cirrus Cycles Kinekt Active Suspension Seatposts

Rungu offers the Kinekt Active Suspension series of seat posts. The design uses tunable steel springs to provide cushioning off-road.  The design lets Kinekt offer a version (XR) that can support riders weighting up to 320 lbs. and offers 30 mm of suspension on a 420 mm seatpost length. The LR version is preferred for riders weight under 145 lbs. To know which version is right for you add 25 lbs. to your fully clothed weight.  If it adds up to more than 17o lbs. use the XR version.  If less, use the LR version.

Example. Bob weighs 190 lbs. fully clothed.  He carries his bow with a backpack; together they weigh 20 lbs. So the total suspension weight is 210 lbs. plus 25 lbs., which is 235 lbs. Looking at the table below, Bob has two options – the Cane Creek Thudbuster LT Standard + Extra Firm Elastomer, and the Cirrus Cycles Kinekt XR.

Cirrus FS-CR Suspension Saddle

Rungu also offers the Serfas FS-CR suspension saddle. Ride your Rungu Dualie with more comfort than a Quad ATV because of this saddle upgrade. More than a foot wide, it provides excellent comfort and cushioning for those of you who want the tractor seat feel.

Rungu strongly recommends against using both suspension seat post and suspension saddle together.
