Designed, developed and build by the team at Rungu®, Rungu Dualie Single Gear simplifies the e-bike drivetrain making it perfect for anyone who uses Rungu Dualie consistently in the same environment. If you don’t change gears for fear of breaking a chain or because you don’t need other gear ratios, Single Gear is here for you.
Eliminate broken chains – optimized chainline.
With one gear, the chain is lined up as straight as possible with the sprocket and motor. Minimizing lateral chain stress minimizes the chance for a chain to break and makes the transmission quieter.
Proprietary chain tensioner keeps the chain on and weeds and sticks out
Using Rungu’s proprietary Gear Shield concept, the team built cage protection into the front of the tensioner to stop sticks and weeds from getting into the pulley wheels. The mid-mounted design wraps more chain on the sprocket for force transfer while keeping the chain much higher off the ground when paired with a large sprocket.

An aluminum cover mounts to the chain tensioner and frame to keep sticks away from the chain/sprocket interface.
Which Sprocket Size is Right For Me?
The best way to determine the right sprocket size for you is to select one on your existing set-up and ride with it for a few days in that gear on your preferred terrain. Then select the Sprocket size closest to the one you chose. If you want more torque and less speed, choose a bigger sprocket. If you want more speed and less torque, choose a smaller sprocket.
The table below shows the correspondence between sprocket size, starting torque, max speed and estimated ground force at start to help compare the available options.
