Field Upgrade – Box Prime 9 Derailleur, Shifter and Cassette

BOX Prime 9 derailleur system and cassette are available to upgrade RUNGU products.
The system includes the 9 speed BOX steel cassette designed for e-bikes – 12T-50T, which lets you produce 242 ft-lbs. torque in first gear! The derailleur has a clutch mechanism to keep the chain engaged on the roughest terrain. The sealed-bearing shifter gives uses “Push-push” style shifting so you can keep your index finger on the brake during up and down shifts. We ship each kit with a new chain.
When ordering, select the correct chain ring you use (the sprocket mounted to the motor) only compatible with units that have the 30T chainring (not 42T or larger). Contact support@riderungu.com if you have questions about compatibility with your Rungu.

- High-strength , extra wide range 12-50T 9 speed cassette
- KMC e10 ept high strength e-bike chain cut to length
Rungu recommends this upgrade for legacy non-electric RUNGU bikes and Legacy Electric Juggernaut/Kilimanjaro MDV (mid-drive bikes) and Rungu Dualies shipped since 2020. Not compatible with LEGACY hub-drive Electric Juggernauts or Kilimanjaros.
This upgrade requires disassembly of the rear wheel. Rungu recommends that you have a qualified bicycle technician perform the upgrade. If you plan to perform the upgrade yourself, we recommend you read the BOX2 Prime 9 manual FIRST and watch the following guidance videos:
